Crypto PACs Flood 2026 Midterms with $271M War Chest
The cryptocurrency industry has deployed $271 million in political spending ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, according to Follow The Crypto data. Super PACs like Fairshake and the Digital Freedom Fund now rank among America’s most well-funded political committees, with $221 million on hand and another $100 million pledged by industry heavyweights.
In Illinois, crypto-aligned groups have spent nearly $10 million opposing Juliana Stratton’s Senate bid and $2.4 million against La Shawn Ford’s House campaign. Alabama’s Barry Moore has received over $5 million in support. The spending surge coincides with a Paradign study finding 36% of voters now use prediction markets—a sector where crypto-native tools like Polymarket (ETH-based) are gaining traction.
